To experiment with the Medium's inflatable feature, the base will need to be accessible. Take a peek underneath and notice the subtle connection port. An included length of hose and simple hand pump snap securely into that port. Give the pump ball a few squeezes to see (and feel) the Medium's thickness fill out to more than double the original width.
